Call for two Fellow positions
The call is now closed. Applications are being screened. The Fellow applications received will be evaluated according to the criteria listed in the following advertisement.
EIEF invites applications for two Fellow positions. Fellows are typically established researchers working in universities or other research institutions, who spend a significant fraction of their time at the Institute to (i) conduct research, (ii) cooperate in organizing EIEF’s seminars, workshops and conferences, in the recruitment of Assistant professors and in the selection of the visiting professors, (iii) interact with other researchers and mentor one or more of the Assistant professors, and (iv) contribute to EIEF’s graduate teaching programs. Fellows enhance EIEF’s international scientific standing through the quality of their research output, which is expected to appear in leading international journals.
Fellows are expected to guarantee a significant presence at EIEF. Working time arrangements could be flexibly tailored to the needs of Fellows that are not resident in Rome. Fellows are given office space, research funds and a compensation for their contribution to EIEF’s activities. The initial appointment is for a 3 years period. At the end of this period, the activity of fellows is reviewed, under the responsibility of EIEF’s Governing Board, in view of a possible re-appointment.
Applicants should have an outstanding publication record, particularly in the last 5 years, and exciting research projects in the pipeline. EIEF invites applications in all areas of economics , but it particularly encourages applications from researchers working in financial economics. Candidates should be eager to contribute to EIEF’s intellectual environment, activities and mission and be good citizens in all other respects. Short-listed applicants will be invited to EIEF for a seminar and a series of interviews, to present their work and their research projects.
To apply, send to applications@eief.it your CV and 3 recently published papers, together with a concise description of your current research interests and plans, by November 15th . Please specify “application for Fellow positions” in the object of your e-mail message.
